Big shout out for Will who dealt personally with our Motorrad purchase. He was very patient and nothing was too much trouble. We're delighted with our nearly new R nine t, which is pristine and exactly the right BMW for us. Thanks so much and well done 😎👍

My BMW Motorrad experience.
I purchased an approved used BMW R Nine T from Marshalls BMW Motorrad. While riding home from the showroom I noticed it felt rattly on the road, I later found the exhaust main clamp to be loose with the securing nut missing and the catalytic converter nearly coming off its hanger.
I e mailed and rang BMW customer service, they were not helpful at all.
I rang Marshalls, explained the problem and requested a full nut and bolt check, they collected the bike, replaced the exhaust clamp and assured me everything was tight.
It was a different bike when I got it back. I requested a bit of good will for the inconvenience and Marshalls did send me out a battery conditioner free of charge, thank you.
A few weeks later I was removing the rear passenger subframe, fitting a genuine BMW exhaust hanger and genuine seat hump. I found loose bolts that held the subframe to the main frame, another email to Marshalls as they had previously assured me in writing that everything was secure. They did reply saying they would recheck everything.
I wasn't sending it back a second time.
I continued to use the bike, enjoying it, kept checking levels as the handbook and noticed the engine oil level was depleting. Concerned about this I made contact with Marshalls again. Response from Marshalls service department was, there is a BMW technical bulletin about this engine, it can use and is acceptable to use up to 0.5 litre in 1000km. I requested a copy of this bulletin but Marshalls could not release this technical information to me.
So disappointed, I had paid 11k for a low mileage, approved used BMW motorcycle with 2 years warranty thinking everything was covered, I am now being told its acceptable to BMW that this engine can potentially consume engine oil at the rate stated by Marshalls.
I explained to Marshalls that I felt like I had been missold because these figures were not supplied to me at the point of sale and they were not in the owners manual.
Marshalls stated in witing, "we would have found the information regarding oil use and supplied this to you at the point of sale if you had asked us to".
In my opinion as the customer, who would ask a sales person at the point of sale, are there any BMW technical bulletins regarding engine oil usage rates for this particular motorcycle?
Marshalls stated that the bike is not faulty, and I could take my concerns to the ombudsman.
Marshalls did offer to buy the bike back at £1750.00 less than what I paid for it 8 months ago, another BMW dealership offered me £2500 less than what I paid for it 8 months ago.
To summarise, I feel.
Marshalls did not disclose the potential oil usage information that they had access to at the point of sale, according to Marshalls I should have asked for it.
If I had asked the question and got that answer I would not have made the purchase.
This lack of transparency did not enable me to make a fair informed decision on the purchase, legally they may not have to disclose but morally?
One star is for the whole Motorrad experience, not just at Marshalls, I also understand that Marshalls can only work in line with BMW policies and technical specification data.
This is a true reflection on my experience and all adds up to how I feel as a BMW Motorrad customer.
I have supplied my details as requested by Marshalls below but they never got in touch.
Update 16/8/23. Still awaiting contact from Marshalls BMW. Sent an e mail to Marshalls requesting compensation for losses. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the goods were not sold to me as described.

Stephen did not try to ‘sell’ he asked all the right questions and presented us with ‘Advice’ , which is very rare these days… he answered all our questions and concerns and plenty more….
If you are in the market for BMW Bike then I would definitely recommend you speak to Stephen above all else

Having recently picked up a BMW R18 from Marshall Motorrad Grimsby, I would just like to thank Steve and all his team in motorcycle sales and aftercare for a first class, professional and extremely satisfying purchase.
Nothing was to much trouble for Steve, he took the time to show me the R18 and provided all the answer’s to my questions. At the handover, the bike was beautifully presented and all the controls were explained and demonstrated.
The fact that this is the 7th motorcycle I have purchased from this facility displays my confidence in this motorcycle dealership.
Well done.

Had my BMW RT serviced yesterday and I want to thank Jess Wright for her exemplary service.
The RT is my first BMW and is so different to all I've ridden previously so suffice to say I've felt a tad confused by it all
I needed have worried, great service, everyone friendly and reasonably priced for a premium brand.
I have now chosen Marshall BMW Motorrad (Laceby) as my preferred dealer having had such a pleasant experience there yesterday and all down to Jess so please pass on my thanks once again.
Not all dealerships are equal, as I have found out, but I've got a great machine that's in tip top condition and Marshall BMW MOTORRAD to look after it!
Thanks to all, including Tom the technician, the nice lady who asked if I wanted any refreshments and of course Jess.
Premium brands should offer premium service.....yours does, Peterborough doesn't.....their loss!

Collected my new BMW s1000r M sport on Friday 6th May 2022 from Marshall BMW Motorrad Grimsby and the whole experience went smoothly with no problems. Steve was extremely helpful and kept me updated all the way and answered all my questions promptly. First BMW bike and I'm very pleased, great bike.

Very happy with my service at BMW Motorrad Grimsby. The service was not expensive, the customer service was excellent and the video of my service was very helpful and informative. The service time slot was as promised and the time taken was as predicted. I would be more than happy to recommend this branch to anyone needing a service of their BMW motorbike.

Recently bought a new Gsa from the company , which had to be ordered from Germany . Steve the salesman was excellent , his contact from start to finish was faultless. I travelled up from Sussex to collect it.......the bike was pristine as you would expect it to be . Would recommend them . Spookily one of the guys I ride with also bought his bike there , he lives in Surrey..........

Excellent customer service from the team at Motorrad Grimsby, especially as a long distance customer dealing with Will in sales. Extremely polite, reliable (always rings or emails back when he says) and couldn't do enough to help. Highly recommended!
